Finally finished one of my chairs!!!

Hello again!

You might remember in one of my older posts that I was re finishing an old chair....

I Loved the chairs to begin with but they were kinda dingy and dark looking.
Soooo I decided to start a project.

This is how it looked before....

Told ya....Its not the best lookin old chair but has lots of promise!!
To begin I took off the old cushion...

Then started stripping off the old stain....

These are my supplies..

and this is my stripped chair

Once I got the hang of it, everything went a little faster.

THEN, I got out the ol WHITE paint!!!! (this is my favorite part)

I painted the chair all up and re covered my chair cushion....

Drum roll Please.....

LOVE LOVE LOVE How this turned out!!!

Please leave me a not to tell me what you think!!

Now to relax after all that hard work!!

This messy room!!!

Hello again!

I don't want to be the complaining mommy here .....BUT...have you ever speant forever cleaning and purging your childs room so it can be all clean and cozy for them to play and relax and be safe and happy.....then

How does such a thing take place?...

What does one do to organize this little girls room???....

lol...I've already gotten rid of all kinds of junk!!

but clearly I need ta head on back up with the feared garbage bag...haha
Anyhooo ....was just wondering ..am I the only person with a child that has the abulity to make such havock on a pretty pink room???

My dream craft rooms

Hello all!
I've always loved crafting, when I was a little girl I would be in my glory with some construction paper, sparkles, crayons, ribbons etc..
Now that I am all grown up...I still love it!!


If I had it my way I would combine a little from each of these craft rooms and make my All grown up dream craft room!!

I got these pictures off pinterest....

I love this funnel idea!!! so cool!

I could spend hours in any of these crafty little rooms!!
Until then I will keep on dreaming and crafting.

Had a SPA day!!....What do you do to unwind?

Hello again!

So I booked myself a facial, manicure and pedicure this Saturday.
Can I just say RELAXING!!!

There really is nothing like having a day to yourself. It's so important to take care of yourself...inside and out. I always say .."If Momma aint Happy...Nobody's happy" It's the truth.

Anyway...here is where I spent my Saturday afternoon....

Yup...looks pretty nice huh??

I needed this day to myself....So glad I got it :)
This is my one of many favorite things to do to unwind.

Beautiful Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers...and Mothers that do the job of two!

I think it's so important to take the time to reflect and honour our Dads, Moms, Husbands and friends on these days. In my opinion, there is no greater compliment anyone can give you then to say your a great parent.

I went on a lovely dinner with my dad today, just the two of us.

We went to a place called Bare Bones

I love this place! It's not just a meal, it truly is an experience.
The decor is amazing..

I just love all the treasures in here

In my opinion there is nothing better than old books!

Enough about all that though....The real show stopper was the Beautifuly displayed food..

My Salad with raspberry balsamic dressing and home made goats cheese...

Our main course good ol Fish n chips...with a dalce garnish

Saturday Treasures

Happy Saturday Ladies n a few Gents (wink wink)

I got up early this morning had some coffee then ventured off to check out the yard sales.

Oh how I love yard sales!!!

I found this really interesting print...

I was told that it means "less talk more work"

I also found a couple cute little bottles

So cute.

I also found this old record player for 15 bucks!!!...lol...yes I have records! haha

Now before I went yard Saling I had to get some comfortable new sandles...

I just love them:)

and last but not least Mr.Nova Scotia got himself a nice Father Day gift....

I thought I would try it out

Clearly this garage...AKA Man Cave..could use a good cleaning!!
Oh well ...boys will be boys!

My new treasures and a dash of pretty white shoes

Happy Wednesday!

Today in Nova Scotia land its rainy n dreary, Has been all week.
I have never seen so much rain in Spring before!
I have been making the best of it, but my floors are suffering in a big way.
I am seriously considering getting me some fancy new Hunter rain boots! I'm thinking red or yellow would do...or maybe they would be a bit bright to wear anywhere but in my garden...hmmmmm, I'll think on that one.

This past weekend we went on a camping trip, packed up our kyaks, dog and little one and headed for a nice sparkling lake. I am an ocean girl mind you..but I couldn't help but enjoy the calm of this lake.
In saying all of this...my beverages I was treating myself with must have distracted me from getting pics of the beautiful lake.

I did however get some of the 2 new friends my doggy Sandy met...

No camping trip is complete without some roasted marshmelllooooooos

I will be sure to be better at capturing some of the beauty during my next weekend getaway in Beautiful Nova Scotia.

I recently was given some new treasures

I am so happy to finally have something to keep my little trinkets and keep sakes in.

I got all of these bottles from my back yard!! can you beleave it!..
We were going for a hike in the woods..AKA (our back yard) and found all of these random old bottles.


My other new treasure is this little cabinet

How lovely is this ol thing??

I'm thinkin a splash of white on this beauty and some glass knobs will do the trick.

Speaking of white I shot a pic of some pretty whites in my hallway this evening....Oh the simple things in life that make me smile...
